  • How does the VepoX Filter Bottle work?

A cutting-edge technology built on a natural mineral fiber is used in the Vepox Filter bottle. The fiber has a surface area of more than 500 square meters per gram. The active fibers have a diameter of 2 nm and a length of roughly 250 nm. We make this and use it in our water filters. The VepoX Filter uses ion exchange and electro adhesion to remove impurities from water.

The filter media's crystal and porous structure enable a very high surface area and has a significant number of active sites for submicron pollutant removal. Contaminants move through roughly 400 layers of these pores in the thickness of the media during filtering, creating a winding path.

While bigger particles are trapped inside the media's fiber structure, negatively charged submicron particles are removed by the charge field.

    More concerning the media in the VepoX filter bottle;

Contaminants are removed by being exposed to a torturous path through the media, depth and the powerful electropositive charge field generated by the fibers within the filter.

The Result = Enhanced removal for:

    • Submicron particles – organic and inorganic

    • Colloids

    • Biological contaminants – virus, bacteria, organic acids, cell debris, endotoxins

The Vepox Filter bottle effectively removes viruses by 99.99%, bacteria by 99.9999% and cysts 99.95% or greater. With Vepox Filter, you have clean and safe drinking water.

How do I prepare and change the filter in my VepoX filter Water Bottle?

Rinse your VepoX Bottle Filter under a strong stream of water for 60 seconds. Be sure to direct the water through all sides of the filter, including the inside (first-time use only).

Align the lid and straw. Twist right to lock.

    Fill with water.

How often should I change my filter?

Replace your VepoX Bottle Filter every 150 litres, or about every 3 months, for optimal performance.

How do I clean my VepoX  Filter bottle?

Our Hard-Sided Plastic Water Bottles are dishwasher safe (top rack only). Remove the filter and place all plastic components, including the bottle and lid, in the top rack (Don't include the inner filter system). If you prefer to hand-wash, use mild dish soap and rinse well. The inner filter system can be washed by only flushing tap water over it.

Are VepoX Filter products BPA free?

All Vepox Filter materials in contact with water do not contain polycarbonate and therefore do not release BPA. Additionally, materials used in Vepox Filters are certified food grade quality.

How long can I use the VepoX  filter cartridge for?

To ensure you enjoy high quality VepoX filtered water, replace the filter cartridge at regular intervals. The lifetime of a filter cartridge depends on the local water quality. The filter cartridge should be replaced after 150 litres of water. If the consumption is greater, the lifetime of the cartridge reduces accordingly.

The cartridge should be replaced at least every 3 months. (Our customer care will reach out to you when its time to change the filter cartridge)

What is the VepoX Filter Environmental Impact?

The VepoX Filter Climate Impact is certified by the EIT Climate KIC validation partner! We’re proud to say that our Impact on the climate is a positive impact saving “3,194 ton tCO²e” or 145191 trees by our fifth year!

Is the VepoX filter bottle certified?

Yes! Our water filter bottle meets NSF/ANSI (American National Standards Institute) Standards 42 and 61. Locally, our water filter meets the Uganda National Bureau Of Standards (UNBS) quality compliance parameters. Every batch of the water filter bottles is tested by Chemiphar, a Belgium Based Lab in Kampala.
